Financial demands, social pressures, or even our own timelines may tie our self-worth to the final product that comes out of our labor. In turn, the value of dedicating our attention and effort to a process is often lost, taking with it the value of the hope, faith, and even courage we pour into our work. This all-level-friendly clay handbuilding workshop encourages us to connect with the joy of our actions and to strengthen our trust in ourselves as creators (regardless of your usual medium, whether you create paintings, spreadsheets, relationships, or something else entirely).

Hae Ji Cho (she/her) is a Korean Brazilian American multidisciplinary artist working with ceramics, filmmaking, writing, and jewelry. She first began her ceramics journey from a commitment to fighting perfectionism-oriented fear and to expanding comfort within discomfort, then quickly fell in love with the process of learning the craft. Through the non-profit Art Opening Minds, she has written and provided guided reflections on themes of grief, ADHD, anxiety, and more that are currently used by educators and individual users across North America.
