Where the sacred returns to the body.
Softness is resistance.
Healing is a return.
Softness is resistance. Healing is a return.
Rooh Sanctuary is a healing-centered wellness space for BIPOC women and girls, rooted in decolonized care, ancestral remembrance, and soul restoration.
We offer therapy, spiritual healing, and liberation-centered wellness to those who have been silenced, erased, or forgotten, helping them reclaim their power and return to themselves.
Step into an evening of prayer, intention, and blessing as Rooh Sanctuary opens its doors for the very first time.
This inaugural gathering is a ceremonial soundbath dedicated to honoring the space, its spirit, its purpose, and all who will enter it. Guided by Sahar Farooqui, this immersive sound journey will weave bowls, gong, sitar, and ancestral tones to cleanse, awaken, and protect the sanctuary.
This opening ceremony marks a threshold: a moment of collective intention, protection, and prayer as Rooh begins its life as a healing space. Together, we will set intentions for Rooh’s opening year and offer blessings for all the care, restoration, and transformation that will unfold within these walls.
Yoga mats and blankets will be provided. You’re welcome to bring your own mat, blankets, pillows, or anything else that helps you feel most comfortable and supported.
Our Philosophy
Rooh Sanctuary isn’t just about wellness.
It’s about liberation.
It’s about reclaiming the parts of ourselves that were colonized, erased, or shamed and reminding every woman and girl who walks through our doors:
You are not broken.
You are remembering.
You are worthy of healing that honors your story, your softness, and your power.
This sanctuary is my love letter to every girl who was ever told to shrink, stay quiet, or “be strong” instead of being seen.
You are seen now.
You are safe here.
And your soul is sacred.
Offerings
Our offerings will be held by a growing collective of BIPOC therapists, healers, artists, and wellness practitioners. Some offerings will begin at launch, while others will unfold as our community expands.
Our Location
Rooh Sanctuary is nestled by the ocean in Santa Monica, a safe and welcoming space for women and girls to return to themselves. Just steps away from the waves, our sanctuary was chosen with intention, where softness meets structure, and healing flows like water.
Let the ocean guide you here, and let your spirit breathe again.
Rooh Sanctuary is Opening in Los Angeles
We’re in the final stages of creating a healing-centered space for BIPOC women and girls, where softness is resistance, and healing is a return to self.
Our physical space is nearly complete. Our vision is alive. We’re opening our doors soon and inviting you to experience Rooh.
